The Fair Competition Commission (FCC) has received a merger notification from Coca-Cola HBC AG and Coca-Cola HBC Holdings B.V. regarding their proposed acquisition of shares in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Proprietary Limited, which would result in the indirect acquisition of control over Coca-Cola Kwanza Company Limited in Tanzania.

The Fair Competition Commission (FCC) has received a merger notification from Coca-Cola HBC AG and Coca-Cola HBC Holdings B.V. regarding their proposed acquisition of shares in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa Proprietary Limited, which would result in the indirect acquisition of control over Coca-Cola Kwanza Company Limited in Tanzania. ITRA India Private Limited a company incorporated under the laws of India is set to acquire 51% of the entire issued share capital of Shanparts Africa Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of Tanzania.

On 24 October 2025, the Fair Competition Commission (FCC) has published a public notice inviting individuals or entities who believe that they have sufficient interest, or whose interests are likely to be materially affected by the proposed merger or acquisition of 51% shares by ITRA India Private Limited in Shanparts Africa Limited to submit their views, objections, or any relevant information. The timeline is 14 days from the date of this notice (24 October 2025). The purpose of this process is to ensure that the FCC makes a just and well-informed decision.
