We exist to make merger activity in Tanzania legible — to the businesses planning transactions, the advisors structuring them, and the public following how the regulator rules on them.

MergerTracker is a working record of Tanzanian dealmaking. Every merger and acquisition we publish is sourced from filings, regulator publications, and primary press — never paraphrased, always linked back to the document.

Methodology

How a deal becomes a record.

01 — Capture

Filings, stock-exchange announcements, FCC and Tribunal publications, press releases, court documents. Every record originates with a primary source we can link to.

02 — Verify

A source check before publication. Status — announced, pending, cleared, completed — is updated as the deal progresses, with the changelog visible.

03 — Attribute

Advisor credits compiled from public disclosure. Equal credit where multiple firms acted unless the announcement names a lead.

04 — Value

Reported in both Tanzanian shillings and US dollars at the announcement-day rate. We do not estimate undisclosed values into league tables — full stop.
